The Human Relations Awards 2011: Honoring Heroes for Youth

 

What:
The Annual Human Relations Awards honor individuals and organizations that are dedicated to advancing human and civil rights in Santa Clara County and beyond. This year’s event recognizes the heroes in the community who work hard to make a difference in the lives of the youth.

Who:
Jim McEntee Sr. Lifetime Achievement Award – Honorable Blanca Alvarado
Director’s Award – Fresh Lifelines for Youth (FLY)
Human Relations Commission Award of Special Recognition- The Bill Wilson Center

Board of Supervisors Awards - Anne M. Ehresman, Executive Director of Project Cornerstone; Washington Camina Contigo, Washington Elementary School; Judge Katherine Lucero, Superior Court of Santa Clara County; Generations Community Wellness; and Project Safety Net of Palo Alto
Keynote Speaker – Judge La Doris Cordell

When:

Why:
Over the past 39 years, the Office of Human Relations has been committed to protecting human and civil rights of Santa Clara County residents. Every year, the Office recognizes individuals and organizations for their contribution to this effort.
