SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CALIF.
– Gilroy residents have just a few days to stock up on reading and
other materials from their library, before it closes its doors for the
next six weeks. They will be able to keep these items for an extended
loan period without risking any penalties, until their library reopens
at a new location on April 28, 2012.
The Gilroy Library temporary location at 7652 Monterey Street will
close at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012, in preparation for the
move to the new Gilroy Library building at 350 W. 6th Street. Library
staff is counting on users to stock up on materials, so they can also
help transport thousands of items to the new, permanent building.
“Library users can help us tremendously if we have fewer items to move
to our new permanent location,” said Lani Yoshimura, Gilroy Librarian.
“We encourage everyone to take advantage of this extended loan period.
