The California High-Speed Rail Project is proposed to connect the San Francisco Bay Area to Southern California.  The alignment would go south from San Jose via Pacheco Pass to the Central Valley, continuing to Southern California.  County staff is currently reviewing alignment alternatives under consideration for the southern part of Santa Clara County.
