Dynaflect Analysis Graphs

  1. To derive the damage in inches of AC on TABLE 1, for the longitudinal trench along 90 N Bascom Ave.
    • Always use the 80% STATISTICAL ANALYSIS AS TESTED.
    • Trench 80% = 25
    • Baseline 80% = 13
    • % Reduction = 48% = {(25-13)/25}*100
    • Go to Caltrans' Flexible Pavement Rehabilitation Manual
    • Go to page 6-2 Table 2 Column A for % reduction of 48%, corresponding to a 0.59 ft. GE requirement
    • Assume Gf = 1.9 for this study
    • Tac = 3.73 in. = 12*(GE/Gf) = 12 in./ft.*(0.59 ft/1.9)
  2. Zone of Influence (ZOI) for Country Club Table 2
    • For Country Club, identify the distance in ft from the center up to where the Y axis deflection becomes constant. Use 6 ft. on the left and 6 ft. on the right to obtain a 12 ft. ZOI.
