PROJECT DESDCRIPTIONS:

Circulation and Mobility Planning
This project will look at the needs of the County road system in the context of current and projected traffic conditions for consistency with the California Complete Streets Act of 2008 through: updating the General Plan Circulation and Mobility Element, developing a Roads Master Plan for the nearly 600 miles of County maintained roads, and conducting an extensive outreach process designed to keep the community informed.

Expressway Plan 2040
This project is the successor to the 2003 Comprehensive County Expressway Planning Study and 2008 Update.  The plan takes a fresh look at the needs of the expressways and the Santa Teresa/Hale Corridor based on city land use plans, projected 2040 traffic growth and Complete Streets planning. Expressway Plan 2040 will identify new challenges and positive developments or opportunities, recommend any necessary policy changes and revise funding requirements and implementation strategies.

Lawrence Expressway Improvement
This study project looks at the intersections at Reed Avenue/Monroe Street, Kifer Road, and Arques Avenue to address traffic congestion.

Page Mill - 280 to El Camino Real
This project makes improvements to Page Mill Road between 280 and El camino Real.

Alamitos Creek Bridge Replacement
This project originates from the State-mandated bridge initiative to identify and improve seismically vulnerable bridges, a response to the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989.

Loyola Drive Bridge Widening at Foothill Expressway
The Loyola Avenue Bridge at Foothill Expressway in Los Altos will be widened 23’ on north side and 15’ on south side.
