How to Order Official Record Copies

METHOD WHAT TO DO REQUIRED
In person Come to the Clerk Recorder's main office
  • Document Number (any record) or Book and Page Number (records prior to 5/1/95 only)
  • Name of person requesting document (Your name)
  • If you desire a certified or plain copy
  • Number of copies desired
Fax ​Dial (408) 280-1768
All of the above information plus:
 
  • Your daytime phone number
  • A Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express Card Number
  • The expiration date for the credit card
  • The name and address where the record is to be sent
  • If desired, authorization for Federal Express or Express Mail
    (Note: Federal Express can't be sent to P.O. Boxes)
