Overview
The morning after the Election, our office begins the process of verifying and generating the payroll for all Election staffing.

Attendance
We furnish every school principal and coordinator with a post election attendance report to monitor and verify participation along with hours worked.

Stipend Check
All stipends are determined from the payroll form and if necessary, additional phone calls for information.  You should expect to receive your stipend check in the mail at the address provided on your Student Application, approximately 3 to 4 weeks after Election Day.

Stipend Amounts
Students are paid a stipend of $95 for a full day, and $47.50 for a half day.  You receive an additional $20 for completing the training and $10 for attending the Election eve setup.  Bilingual Spanish Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese or Tagalog Students may be paid an additional $5. No work permit is required to volunteer.

Community Service Credits
You can choose Community Service credits in lieu of a stipend.  If you need a letter detailing your volunteer hours, please contact the Student Election Officer Program Coordinator at high.school@rov.sccgov.org or 408.282.3091.

Problems with Stipend Check
If you do not receive your stipend check within one month of the Election, or if there is any other problem with your check, please contact our office at 408.299.POLL (7655).
