Childhood Feeding Collaborative Online Trainings

Santa Clara County Public Health is pleased to offer these online trainings presented by the Childhood Feeding Collaborative to our Provider Network. 

 

 


 

Obesity Prevention during the Well Child Visit

Intended audience: For pediatric healthcare providers (MD, RN, RD and other related professions)

Carol Danaher, RD, MPH, Nutritionist and Coordinator of the Childhood Feeding Collaborative discusses feeding guidance that will reduce risk of obesity by encouraging meals and avoiding messages that promote food restriction during face to face meetings with clients.

 
 
 

 
 

 

Intended audience: For pediatric healthcare providers (MD, RN, RD and other related professions)

This training builds upon what you learned about applying the Division of Responsibility from the Obesity Prevention during the Well Child Visit. Carol Danaher, RD, MPH, Nutritionist and Coordinator of the Childhood Feeding Collaborative discusses ways to develop skills in assessing and solving common child feeding problems, such as picky eating and overweight, with a focus on how to support family mealtimes.
