Free Training Opportunity – Making Healthy Connections in the Retail Environment

Please join the Network for a Healthy California – Bay Area Region for a FREE skills-based training titled, “Making Healthy Connections in the Retail Environment.”  The training is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Elihu Harris Building, Room 1, 1515 Clay Street, Oakland. 
 
The training will feature local expert speakers from the field.  You will learn how to engage community residents, collect local customer data, pitch the retail program to merchants, develop creative solutions for common challenges, sustain efforts through licensing, zoning, certification programs, and incentives.
 
This training is open to all health departments in the Bay Area, community based organizations and other related professions interested in receiving training on how to work with the retail environment.
