ReThink Your Drink Wins Silver Plaque for Best PSA Campaign at 2012 Hugo TV Awards
The ReThink Your Drink Public Service Announcement (PSA) campaign was recently awarded a Silver Plaque for Best PSA Campaign by the 2012 Hugo Television Awards. The ReThink Your Drink campaign was a part of Santa Clara County Public Health Department’s Communities Putting Prevention to Work – Obesity Prevention program, coordinated by the Center for Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention.
ReThink Your Drink is a series of animated cartoon videos created through an in-kind grant from Kaiser Permanente. These PSAs feature cartoon characters named Dexter and Martina, and are directed at elementary school children, to show how to identify sugar in different drinks and why it is important to drink healthier beverages.
Congratulations to Kaiser Permanente, writer/director Brian Leonard from b.e. Creative, Bryan Nadeau who produced the PSA videos, Denice Alexander for spearheading the project for the Santa Clara Public Health Department, and Santa Clara County’s Center for Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention.
