A $100,000 grant that Santa Clara County Public Health Department’s Traffic Safe Communities Network (TSCN) has received will up the ante on preventing teen drinking and driving. Santa Clara County Health Officer and TSCN Co-chair Dr. Marty Fenstersheib says the funding “will allow us to use a variety of strategies to educate teens about the choices and consequences of drinking and driving in an effort to reduce crashes, injuries, and deaths.”
Traffic Safe Communities Network (TSCN) is a countywide coalition of health professionals, law enforcement officers, injury prevention specialists, elected officials, engineers, emergency medical responders, bicycle and pedestrian advocates, community organizations, and other traffic safety professionals. For nearly 15 years TSCN and its partners have been working collaboratively to prevent traffic-related collisions, injuries, and fatalities. For more information about TSCN visit
