The office of Vital Records and Registration is responsible for registering all of the births and deaths that take place within the county of Santa Clara only. Our walk-up hours are from 9 AM to 4 PM, except for County-observed holidays.
Special note:
Recent birth and death records for the years 2012-2013 are available at the office of Vital Records and Registration.
Older birth and death records, dating back from 1873 are available at the Santa Clara County Clerk-Recorder’s Office or call 1-408-299-5688.
