Child Passenger Safety Program

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for children under the age of 15. By law, all babies and children are required to be in car seats. The Child Passenger Safety Program provides education and services to ensure that children are properly secured in car seats while traveling to prevent harm in case of a motor vehicle crash.

Who is eligible for additional services under the Child Passenger Safety Program?

Low income families who are residents of Santa Clara County with young children who are enrolled in one of the following:

  • Cash aid
  • Medi-Cal
  • Head Start Registration
  • Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
