The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in identifying the following sketch of an East San Jose Carjacking Suspect. Described as a Male Hispanic or Middle Eastern, 20’s, about 5”07”, 140lbs., brown eyes, black hair.
On June 4, 2005, the suspect was interrupted burglarizing a San Jose Country Club home. As the suspect fled the scene, he saw the victim in her driveway and pointed a small silver or chrome semi-automatic handgun at the victim as he climbed into her car. The suspect was unaware that the victim's 8 year old daughter was in the passenger seat. As she screamed, he pointed his gun at her and ordered her out of the car. The victim's brother blocked the driveway with his truck to stop the suspect. The suspect rammed the truck and drove away. The suspect drove to the end of the block, abandoned the vehicle, and escaped undetected.
The suspect apparently burglarized two more homes, one from which he obtained the keys to a Cadillac which he used to flee the scene. The suspect was spotted driving recklessly and was involved in a hit-and-run accident.
The Cadillac was recovered in the driveway of an abandoned house several days later. The victim gave the above description of the suspect, and further described him as a "pretty boy", and having a "neatly trimmed stubbly beard".
