On Tuesday August 22, 2006 Sheriff’s Office Detective Sgt. Ken Binder arrested Saratoga resident Robert Kevin Robertson. On June 02, 2006, Robertson allegedly walked into the Bank of the West in the City of Saratoga and handed the teller a note stating he had a bomb and brandished an unknown device. The teller, fearing for her safety and the safety of the patrons of the bank handed Robertson and unknown amount of cash. Robertson left the seen in a dark colored SUV. Robertson was arrested at his residence in the City of Saratoga. Robertson is also believed to have committed two other bank robberies at Citibank in San Jose on June 6, 2006 and Downey Savings in Campbell on June 9, 2006. The District Attorney's Office filed charges on Robertson for all three robberies. His first court appearance is set for Friday August 25, 2006.
