On Thursday, August 10, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office West Valley Division will be conducting a Pedestrian Safety Campaign in the city of Saratoga.
Due to a number of reported concerns the Sheriff’s Office has received regarding pedestrian/vehicle traffic violations occurring in downtown Saratoga, the Sheriff’s Office will be conducting traffic enforcement in the area from 8am to approximately 11am.
The Sheriff’s office will be focusing on safety issues such as, pedestrian street crossing; vehicular speed reduction; and bike lane safety. This enforcement is being conducted to remind citizens that they must also respect the right-of-way for vehicles, as well as vehicles for pedestrian traffic. This will also help prevent any possible safety hazards.
Media is invited to attend. Please contact me for meeting time and place at one of the numbers below.
