On August 12, 2005, Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Deputies performed a car stop on a vehicle for running a stop sign in the area of Haga Dr. at Wool Ave, in San Jose. Upon making contact with the traffic violator, Deputies discovered that the drivers driving license had expired in 1996. While Deputies were conducting inventory on the violator’s vehicle, in preparation for towing, they found a white trash bag full of 12 pounds of a white powdery substance, believed to be Cocaine. Field test confirmed the substance to be Cocaine.
Suspect LEONARDO RAMOS FERNANDEZ, 07/02/74, of San Jose, was arrested without incident for HS 11352 P.C. - Transportation of Cocaine, HS 11352 P.C. - Possession of Cocaine for Sale, and CVC 23222(b), and booked into the County’s Main Jail.
