Santa Clara County Sheriff's deputies have responded to a report of a possible drowning at Coyote Lake Reservoir, in unincorporated Gilroy. Initial reports indicate two men contacted park staff, at about 1:30 p.m. to report their friend missing. At the onset, the three men came to the lake for fishing. After searching the shoreline on foot for a spot to fish, two of the men went back to the car to get their equipment. The third man, believed to be in his mid-thirties, stayed to take a swim in the lake. When the men returned from the car, their friend was missing, leaving his clothes and wallet behind.
