Activity Programs

Fun activity programs are planned and sponsored by the Employee Wellness Department every year.  They include:
 
March Into May
March Into May is a fun 10-week program that promotes regular physical activity for all employees.  The program starts in March and ends in May each year.  Participants set their own goal of how much exercise they want to do.  This is a great opportunity to get started on a new exercise program or to set new goals for your current routine.  Incentives are given to participants when they complete the program and meet their goals.  Team leaders at work sites throughout the County make March Into May a success.  They assist with logistics, recruit and encourage participants, and deliver incentives at the conclusion of March Into May.  If you would like to learn more about March Into May or would like to be a leader for your site, call the Employee Wellness Department at (408) 885-3620 for more information.
 
Step It Up
Step It Up is a 4-week program that encourages employees to add physical activity into their daily routine by using the stairs instead of the elevator.  Participants accumulate points for every stair step they take.  Incentives are given to participants who achieve a minimum number of points at the end of the program.  Step It Up can also be tailored to meet the needs of those participants who don't have access to stairs at work or are unable to use the stairs due to physical limitations.  For more information about this program, contact the Employee Wellness Department at (408) 885-3620
