On Saturday, April 6, 2019 Santa Clara Valley Medical
Center and the County of Santa Clara Office of LGBTQ Affairs will host an
Open House/Ribbon Cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Gender
Health Center. This is the first and only clinic in the South Bay
specializing in the healthcare for transgender, non-binary and gender
diverse individuals of all ages. Everyone is invited to attend.
The event will be held at Valley Health Center
Downtown, 777 E. Santa Clara St., San Jose, from 12 pm to 2 pm. This is a
community event to learn about the specialized resources available to
transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse people and their families and
friends. Staff and providers who work with transgender, non-binary and
gender diverse community members are also encouraged to attend.
Gender Health Center Staff will be on hand to answer questions and
provide information regarding this unique ground-breaking resource. Also,
there will be an opportunity for small group tours of the Gender Health Center.
The Gender Health Center offers a welcoming and safe space for
transgender, non-binary and gender diverse people. The County of Santa
Clara and SCVMC promotes a culture of safety and well-being for
