The School Linked Services (SLS) Program provides mental health treatment services by Master’s level clinicians, including access to child psychiatry services, if needed. Services are provided primarily in the school setting, although may be accessed at clinic, home, and community agencies as necessary and as needed by the clients served. Services will be individualized and tailored to the needs of the youth based upon age, developmental functioning level, and history of trauma, cultural values, family environment and physical health.
The School Linked Services (SLS) Program serves students residing within High Risk Areas (HRAs) of Santa Clara County, as determined by a County commissioned study on zip codes with high levels of poverty, substance abuse, child removals, juvenile justice entries, mental health clients, school dropouts, single parent households, felony arrests, teen mothers, low state-wide test scores, and low birth weight by zip code.
School Linked Services (SLS) Program accepts referrals from identified school district contacts, as well as self-referrals from families attending the identified SLS schools who connect through the Behavioral Health Call Center
