Santa Clara County Health and Hospital System - Various Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) and City Site Locations
The County of Santa Clara is making COVID-19 testing fast and free. Protect yourself and your family by scheduling a test at one of our community test sites throughout Santa Clara County. To schedule your appointment, select your preferred location and complete your information via the links below. Multiple testing sites are offered throughout the County of Santa Clara. You will have the option to select from available locations and appointments. People who test at one of these sites should receive their results within 3-7 days. Anyone can be tested, there are no requirements for testing criteria, insurance, or immigration status.
Santa Clara County Fairgrounds Site
Scheduled appointments are available Tuesday through Friday (12:00pm – 6:30pm) and Saturday (9:00am – 3:00pm) at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds (344 Tully Road in Lot A across from the Main Entrance) for people with or without symptoms. The site is set up for drive-through testing, but there is a bike and pedestrian entrance available off 7th Street at the corner of Tully Road. Use the link below to check for available appointments. You can schedule from your phone or from a computer using a web browser other than Internet Explorer. Appointments will be open for scheduling 3 days before the testing date. Once all appointments are filled, this location will no longer appear for scheduling on the website.
Scheduled walk-up appointments are available Monday through Friday at various City locations for people without symptoms only. Use the link below to check for available walk-up appointments. You can schedule from your phone or from a computer using a web browser other than Internet Explorer. Appointments will be open for scheduling 3 days before the testing date. Once all appointments are filled, this location will no longer appear for scheduling on the website.
- Testing sites will rotate daily through Campbell, Cupertino, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Santa Clara, Saratoga, Sunnyvale (Gilroy and San Jose not part of this rotation as they have weekly popup testing sites scheduled)

Gardner Health Services at Mexican Heritage Plaza
Testing is open to people without symptoms on Wednesdays from 1 pm – 7pm at the Mexican Heritage Plaza in East San Jose (1700 Alum Rock Avenue). This site is for walk-up testing and no appointment is necessary.
Verily (Project Baseline) – Santa Clara County Fairgrounds and Mount Pleasant High School
Community testing is currently available at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds (344 Tully Road) and at Mount Pleasant High School (1750 S White Road) to anyone who meets the testing criteria, which includes individuals with symptoms, and asymptomatic workers in specific fields. Both sites will operate from 1pm to 7pm, Monday through Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturday. Visit their screening tool to determine if you are eligible for these services. Testing at the Fairgrounds is a free, drive-through service. Testing at Mount Pleasant High School will be a free walk-up and drive-through service for participants walking or driving to the location. This testing is offered through Project Baseline, a project of the State of California and Verily. People who test at one of the Verily Project Baseline testing sites will receive their test results by email or phone. Turnaround times for test results may vary.
OptumServe Testing Sites @ James Lick and Gavilan College
Community testing is also available at James Lick High School in San Jose (2951 Alum Rock Avenue) 7am – 7pm, Tuesday through Saturday and at Gavilan College in Gilroy (5055 Santa Teresa Blvd) 7am – 7pm, Monday through Friday. Tests are by appointment only. Appointments can be made in English and Spanish by calling 1-888-634-1123 or visiting lhi.care/covidtesting. Anyone who meets the testing criteria can be tested regardless of insurance or immigration status. These sites are a collaborative effort between the County of Santa Clara, State of California, OptumServe (the private contractor operating the sites) and the Santa Clara County Office of Education. People who test at one of the OptumServe testing sites will receive their test results through the online portal within one week. OptumServe testing sites are open to individuals 12 years old and over.
Roots Community Health Center at Antioch Baptist Church

El Camino Healthcare District Testing at El Camino Health’s Mountain View Hospital
El Camino Health’s Mountain View hospital (2500 Grant Rd) offers COVID-19 testing funded by the El Camino Healthcare District for those who live, work or go to school within the District (including most of Mountain View, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills, a large portion of Sunnyvale, and small sections of Cupertino, Santa Clara and Palo Alto). Testing is available Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Schedule an appointment online call 650-940-7022 and select option 4. There is no cost to be tested and tests are for individuals who do not have symptoms (asymptomatic) of COVID-19. A short, half-inch swab is utilized to obtain nasal samples needed for the COVID-19 tests.

Planned Parenthood Mar Monte is providing drive through testing without an appointment at the Shoreline Athletic Fields in Mountain View. Testing is open to the public and available for individuals with or without symptoms. Patients for this testing site should bring a photo ID. There will be no cost or co-payment for patients. Your health insurance, including Medi-Cal, will be billed, but your insurance will not bill you for the COVID-19 test.
