Data may be incomplete: In early August, it was discovered that there was a reporting issue with the State’s system that affected all counties. While the State believes this issue was resolved, we continue to validate our data.
The data on this dashboard provide a look at the number of new cases of COVID-19 and related deaths over time. A case is someone who tests positive for COVID-19 using viral testing performed in a lab. Deaths are listed separately for patients at Long Term Care Facilities because patients in these facilities are more isolated than the general public and represent a particularly vulnerable population. The Public Health Department closely tracks the number of cases and deaths that are being reported each day.

Data Notes: Cases are reported by the date that the specimens were collected for testing. Cases that do not have a valid specimen collection date will not show up in the graph of cases but are counted in the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases. Values for the most recent 7 days are likely to increase as additional results are received. The 7-day rolling average of new cases is the average number of new cases each day in the past 7 days, excluding the most recent 7 days. Deaths are reported by the date of death. Deaths provided in this dashboard do not necessarily mean that the individuals died from COVID-19.
