COVID-19 Data and Reports

As we have previously noted, because of two separate issues with the State’s CalREDIE data reporting system, the number of COVID-19 cases and related data in Santa Clara County has been underreported for the last few weeks.  The State is in the process of providing the backlogged data to counties statewide, and we have been expecting a large number of cases to be reported today and possibly over the next few days.  Based on data we received from the State over the weekend, the County reports 751 new cases as of today, August 10, 2020.  This number includes a combination of positive tests from as far back as July 8 but most are from the last week.

We are currently analyzing the newly-received data, any remaining gaps, and what it tells us about the course of the pandemic in our County.

We are carefully tracking data related to the spread of COVID-19 in our communities. We are encouraged by what we are seeing in some areas and concerned about what we are seeing in others. As we move forward, we will continue to make decisions based on the science, data and facts related to the specific conditions in our communities.

We are committed to providing accurate, reliable reports to the public. Additional data will be added over time. The information presented here is updated daily and is dependent on reporting by numerous agencies across the County and outside partners. Please read the data notes related to each dashboard to understand any limitations in reporting.

Since July 12, Santa Clara County has been on the California Department of Public Health’s County Data Monitoring list.
