Support Staying Safe During Isolation and Quarantine
If you test positive for COVID-19 or have been exposed to COVID-19, we can help you and your family to stay safe and to reduce and eliminate the spread of COVID-19. In partnership with several, local cities, the Santa Clara County Isolation and Quarantine Support Program provides one-time assistance while you are isolating and quarantining:
- Motel placements (if you are unable to isolate or quarantine from others); and
- Groceries, household and baby supplies delivery (so you may remain at home in IQ); and
- Financial or rental assistance to qualifying residents of Santa Clara County.

If you test positive for COVID-19 or have been exposed to COVID-19 through close contact, We can help you and your family stay safe! To be eligible, the household income must be less than 80% Area Median Income. (For example, a family of 4 with an annual income of $112,150 will qualify.)
We can help with:
- Emergency rental and/or financial assistance
- Financial assistance: one-time payment of up to $2,500 for qualifying family or $2,000 for qualifying individual.
- Rental assistance: one-time payment of up to $5,000 for one month’s rent and utilities.
- Grocery Delivery
A one-time delivery of groceries and/or cleaning supplies to a residence
- A motel room with clean linens and laundry service
Motel with supportive services for cases and contacts who cannot safely isolate or quarantine at home or who do not have a home. At this hotel, the County offers limited case management services, three meals per day and laundry services.

Who Can Receive Help?
You may be eligible to receive help if you meet the following requirements:
- Tested positive for COVID-19 or were exposed through close contact to a person confirmed to have COVID-19 within 90 days of your request for IQ Support Program Assistance;
- To be eligible, the household income must be less than 80% Area Median Income. For example, a family of 4 with an annual income of $112,150 will qualify.
- Can show a loss of income related to COVID-19 positive test result or close contact exposure; and
- Currently reside in unincorporated Santa Clara County or a participating city with proof of address on an ID or bill (See chart below).

What documents do I need to apply? + To start the process, all applicants must provide an ID and proof of address in a participating city or unincorporated Santa Clara County. Other documents may be required based on the type of service requested, including a self-certification of loss of income (form provided by the IQ Support Program).
