Help Foster Children. The County partners with Child Advocates of Silicon Valley to STAND UP for foster children in the community by ensuring they have the support and resources they need to thrive. They recruit, train and support CASA Volunteers to ensure every foster child in Santa Clara County has a mentor and advocate to help them navigate the system. Become an Advocate for a foster child today. It is truly a volunteer experience like no other! Start by attending a virtual volunteer info session. They have morning and evening sessions that are happening now through October. Visit childadvocatessv.org/volunteer/ to find out more!

Mobile Citizen App. Every year my office partners with San Martin Neighborhood Alliance and GreenWaste to host a biannual Trash Bash to pick up trash in San Martin. Unfortunately, the pandemic has forced us to postpone this event. However, if you are someone who wishes to do your part to keep unincorporated Santa Clara County safe and clean, I encourage you to utilize the Mobile Citizen App! It is easy to use – simply download the app, photograph the issue, and submit directly to our County Maintenance Management and Work Order System.
