SIMITIAN HOSTS VIRTUAL RESOURCES ROUNDTABLE
WITH MOUNTAIN VIEW LEADERS

County Supervisor Joe Simitian is hosting an online Resources Roundtable this Thursday, June 25 at 7:00 pm for Mountain View residents to find the resources they need during these challenging times. Spanish interpretation will be available.

“For many residents, this might be the first time they’re using these resources,” said Simitian. “With all the different layers and jurisdictions, navigating the different program offerings can be overwhelming. I’m hoping this Roundtable will help folks understand how they can get the help they need.”

Joining Simitian are Mayor Margaret Abe-Koga, Community Services Agency (CSA) Executive Director Tom Myers, and Director of Supportive Housing at the County of Santa Clara Ky Le.

Simitian said, “The Resources Roundtable is designed to pull together leaders from the City, the County, and the nonprofit world to help share information on the programs and services providing help to people who need a hand. Maybe that’s food, housing, healthcare… whatever. The world’s upside down right now. I want people to know that help is available and how they can get it.”

“I look forward to joining this impressive and knowledgeable panel and sharing all of the incredible work we’ve been doing together to provide relief resources during these unique and unprecedented times,” explained City of Mountain View Mayor Margaret Abe-Koga. “I am so proud of how quickly our City and County have pivoted during this ongoing, challenging crisis, and we are committed to continuing our unwavering service to the community throughout these times.”

“CSA has a wide array of services available, but we can't do everything,” said Executive Director Tom Myers. “There are many other organizations engaged in important work. I hope people will come away from this roundtable with a good understanding of the nonprofit resources that are available."
