How to become an EMT in California
​To become an EMT in the State of California, you will need to successfully complete an approved EMT training program. You may find a list of approved training programs here​.  After you have completed your training, you must pass the National Registry (NREMT) cognitive and psychomotor examinations and apply for certification at a local EMS agency. ​
I have a question about my ambulance bill
​For questions pertaining to a bill received from a 9-1-1 ambulance transport please use the link here. If you have a question pertaining to a non 9-1-1 transport please contact the ambulance company directly. A list of the approved ambulance providers in Santa Clara County may be found here​. ​
