Executive Leadership Performance Evaluation

The Executive Management Performance Evaluation Process is conducted annually wherein each Executive Manager completes an evaluation for each subordinate executive manager in his/her agency as well as for his/her own position (elected officials and board appointees do not submit this latter evaluation).

This evaluation process is designed to encourage discussion between the employee and the manager regarding the employee’s performance, expectations, future goals and objectives and areas for improvement. This annual process, however, does not replace the need for continual communication and feedback necessary for effective job performance.

The County Executive's emphasis over the last few years has been on establishing the Just Culture program, increasing the conversation between executives and employees about work, leading to an increased sense of mission, work awareness and improved processes that benefit County clients and employees.

Each appointing authority should work with each of their direct report executives to complete the Performance Plan and submit to the Executive Leader to whom they report as instructed on the attached documents. Please click on the Each appointing authority should work with each of their direct report executives to complete the Performance Plan and submit to the Executive Leader to whom they report as instructed on the attached documents. Please click on the link below for a copy of the Executive Leader Performance Plan form.
