The California Department of Mental Health is charged with the responsibility of evaluating the quality of specialty mental health services provided to beneficiaries enrolled in the Medi-Cal managed health care program. Annually the California External Quality Review Organization conducts a site visit to Santa Clara County to review the quality of the overall service delivery system.
Recent Publication of the FY14-15 External Quality Review Organization Report
In February 2015, Behavioral Health Concepts, Inc. (BHC), California’s External Quality Organization (CAEQRO) conducted their review of our Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services Waiver Program. This review was conducted in accordance with the Medicaid Managed Care regulations mandating that the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) provide an annual external quality review of the quality, outcomes, timeliness of services, and access to services provided by Mental Health Plans (MHPs).
This report presents the fiscal year 2014-2015 (FY 14-15) findings of an external quality review of the Santa Clara mental health plan (MHP) by the California External Quality Review Organization (CalEQRO), Behavioral Health Concepts, Inc. (BHC).
