Bill Wilson Center 24-7 Line for Youth — 1-888-247-7717
A hotline for youth ages 7-24, providing supportive listening, crisis intervention, information and referrals. Youth may call anytime for any reason.


Chat 4 Teens
Chat 4 Teens connects teens (12 - 17 years old) in a live instant message chat environment directly with volunteers trained to provide support without judgment. Chat 4 Teens serves teenagers residing in Santa Clara County. Chat lines are open Monday - Friday from 5 - 9 p.m.

Boys Town National Hotline — 1-800-448-3000

A crisis, resource and referral toll-free number for kids, teens, and parents. The Boys Town National Hotline® is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is staffed by specially trained Boys Town counselors. It is accredited by the American Association of Suicidology (AAS).


California Youth Crisis Line (CYCL) — 1-800-843-5200
California Coalition for Youth operates the California Youth Crisis Line (CYCL) which is a statewide, toll free, 24-hour, confidential Hotline available to teens and young adults ages 12-24 and/or any adults supporting youth.

YourLifeYourVoice is part of The Boys Town National Hotline®.
Teens are more connected than ever before and as they move towards new technology, the Boys Town National Hotline® is right there with them. Text messaging is a now available to teens who are uncomfortable making a phone call. This is in addition to the instant messaging or “online chat” that is already available to teens at


This local (for residents of the Bay Area, CA), live chat room is available Monday-Thursday 4:30 - 9:30 p.m. during the school year. It provides a safe and anonymous place for teens to get information and support from other teens. You can talk about anything that’s on your mind, including relationships, school, depression, stress, suicide, friends, parents, cutting, identity, and health. You can also submit a question to be answered on the Q&A page, or connect to resources for additional information and support.  


Reach Out
The Inspire USA Foundation proudly introduces, a website for teens and young adults who are going through a tough time. Reach Out contains all kinds of information about the issues faced by 16-24 year olds and real stories about how others have made it through those tough times. Fact sheets, blogs, info on how to help a friend, interactive comments, audio, video, written stories and more are all a part of what you can find on Reach Out.

TEEN LINE is a confidential telephone helpline for teenage callers. It operates every evening from 6:00pm to 10:00pm PST and is toll-free from anywhere in California. If you have a problem or just want to talk with another teen who understands, then this is the right place for you! You can even text by texting “TEEN” to 839863. TEEN LINE also offers message boards, resources and information.
