Five South Bay Poets Laureate Celebrate Publication of New Anthology - Local Habitations

A Santa Clara County First, Residents and Poetry Lovers Invited
The five poets laureate in Santa Clara County have combined their talent, wit, and insight to produce a new anthology –Local Habitations.  To quote from the introduction of the book: “Theseus famously says in Midsummer Night’s Dream…
imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet’s pen
Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.”
In the first event of its kind, the five poets laureate in Santa Clara County will launch the release of Local Habitations with a reading, live music, refreshments, and outspoken and reserved poetry lovers. Each will read from the anthology, poems at times funny, moving, reflective. The reading concludes with a poem collaboratively composed also entitled Local Habitations. None know what the others have written. Come and join in their mutual surprise.
