WHAT:
In celebration of the 2016 Chinese Lunar New Year, the County of Santa Clara, CA, USA/Hsinchu County, Taiwan Sister County Commission is hosting an exhibition of the “Year of the Monkey” paintings created by Bay Area youth. The winning artworks of the Association of Northern California Chinese Schools’ Annual Painting Contest will be displayed in the breezeway of the County Government Center, from Feb. 4 to Feb.16.

WHY:
The annual painting exhibition is an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the talent of youngsters welcoming the 2016 Chinese Lunar New Year. The exhibition highlights the rich cultural diversity in Santa Clara County.

The Santa Clara County/Hsinchu County, Taiwan, Republic of China Sister County Commission is committed to fostering artistic, commercial, cultural, educational, and technological exchange and understanding between the people and governments of Santa Clara County and Hsinchu County, Taiwan, Republic of China. All commissioners are non-paid volunteers and the commission is entirely self-supporting and fulfills its mission through fundraising, volunteerism and donations.
