County Expands its Health System Through Acquisition of O’Connor Hospital, Saint Louise Regional Hospital, and De Paul Health Center
The County of Santa Clara assumed operations of O’Connor Hospital, St. Louise Regional Hospital, and De Paul Health Center on March 1, integrating the facilities into the County of Santa Clara Health System. We are excited at the opportunity to expand services and continue meeting the ever-changing needs of the two million people who call Santa Clara County home.
The hospitals, their staff and physicians all share the County’s mission to provide high-quality, compassionate and accessible healthcare to our patients. As a public hospital system, the County provides care to all people living in Santa Clara County, and this acquisition supports the County’s ability to serve even more residents in our community.
As we move forward and continue integrating Saint Louise and O’Connor Hospitals into our County health care operations, it is imperative that we continue to put the needs of the patients we serve first and foremost.
Our responsibility and intent is to improve the overall health of our community by enhancing the care we provide to all our patients and expanding access to health care for all. To that end, the County is making investments to upgrade equipment, facilities, and systems; to implement a state-of-the-art electronic health record; to expand physician call coverage; and to recruit and retain highly qualified staff. The County is also instituting its financial assistance programs at the new facilities to ensure that the most underserved in our community have greater access to high-quality care.
Through this webpage, the County can keep the community informed about the latest developments on issues related to its acquisition of the new hospitals.
