On June 5, 2018 the voters of California once again demonstrated their support for parks and open space. Santa Clara County’s park system will benefit from this new source of funds.
Uvas Canyon Park is now open for day use and camping. Reservations ARE REQUIRED for weekend day use and holiday, due to heavy traffic. Your reservation holds you a parking space while you go hiking or picnicking, etc. If you are an annual pass holder you are asked to please call and make a reservation but you will not be charged the vehicle entrance fee. Please call 408-355-2201 during normal business hours or on line at gooutsideandplay.org.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara established the Historical Heritage Grant Program (HHGP) in 1990 to promote historic preservation and the awareness of significant cultural, historical, and archaeological resources within Santa Clara County.
The Santa Clara County Parks Department 2018 Strategic Plan is fully underway and almost complete. The input of the people who live, work, and play in Santa Clara County has been critical to the Strategic Plan process. A full Draft Document is expected to be available in early Spring 2018. Santa Clara County Parks & Recreation Department accepts charitable donations to restore and improve our renowned open spaces. Trees, benches, shade structures and other items make great gifts to both your beneficiary and your favorite park.
