Alviso Marina County Park is located at the southern end of San Francisco Bay along Alviso Slough and adjacent to the salt ponds and marshes of Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge (Refuge). The park offers a great variety of recreational opportunities within its boundaries and is a gateway to exploring the Refuge, and regional trails including the San Francisco Bay Trail, and, via Alviso slough, the San Francisco Bay Area Water Trail. The park also offers sweeping views of the salt marshes and mountains surrounding the bay.
The boat launch, constructed in 2010, completed the development of Alviso Marina County Park. The boat launch provides one of the few clear routes in the San Jose area through the salt marshes of Alviso slough to the open water of San Francisco Bay. In June 2013, Alviso Marina County Park became a designated site in the San Francisco Bay Area Water Trail Network.
Please see the San Francisco Bay Trail
or San Francisco Bay Area Water Trail
