Corporate and Community Group Volunteers Opportunities

We accommodate group volunteers, including corporate groups and community organizations, to fulfill community service tasks that generally last 2‐4 hours. Existing volunteer opportunities are based on site-specific needs and can be found here.

The following list includes current park needs that you should take into consideration before applying for a project to make sure they match your group size and interests. If you would like to apply for one of the projects listed below or would like to suggest your own, fill out this form
 
Please allow 4-8 weeks to process your request. We respond to all inquiries within 7 days and do our best to accommodate each request.

Almaden Quicksilver County Park
 
Group Type: Any group size
Availability: Weekdays and weekends
Projects: Landscape maintenance at New Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum at Casa Grande
Environment: Shaded, picnic tables, visitor center and museum
 
Alviso Marina and Ed R. Levin County Parks
 
Group Type: Any group size
Availability: Weekdays
Projects: Litter clean up along the levees and removal of non‐native and invasive plants
Environment: Full sun (Alviso Marina); shaded, picnic areas (Ed Levin)
 
Anderson Lake County Park
 
Group size: Less than 25 people
Availability: Weekdays and weekends
Projects: Clearing trails and brush, trail repair, removing non‐native and invasive plants.
Environment: picnic tables, shaded area
 
Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Ranch County Park
 
Group size: Less than 25 people
Availability: Weekdays and weekends
Projects: Clearing trails and brush, trail repair, removing non‐native and invasive plants

Hellyer and Santa Teresa County Parks
 
Group Type: Up to 50 people
Availability: Weekdays and weekends
Projects: Litter pick up, non‐native and invasive plant removal at regularly scheduled Weeding Parties
Environment: Shaded, creek area, lake
 
Joseph D. Grant County Park
 
Group Type: Any group size
Availability: Weekdays and weekends
Projects: Painting barns and railings, installing signs
Environment: Full sun, steep hillside, parking lots, shaded picnic areas
 
Martial Cottle County Park
 
Group Type: Any group size
Availability: Weekdays during Spring/Summer/Fall
Projects: Non‐native and invasive plant removal, and vegetation management
Environment: Picnic tables, shaded areas

Mount Madonna and Uvas Creek County Parks
 
Group size: Less than 25 people
Availability: Weekdays and weekends
Projects: Clearing trails and brush, trail repair
Environment: Shaded, picnic tables

Stevens Creek and Sanborn County Parks
 
Group size: Less than 25 people
Availability: Weekdays
Projects: Habitat restoration work including removal of non‐native and invasive plants, trail work
Environment: Shaded, picnic area
 
Vasona County Park and Los Gatos Creek
 
Group Type: Any group size
Availability: Weekdays
Projects: Non‐native and invasive plant removal, fence work, mulching, playground repair, installation of new paving stone pathway that leads to the Ranger office
Environment: Visitor center, picnic tables, shaded areas
