STD/HIV Prevention & Control

It is very important that you understand your risk for HIV/STDs. The following HIV prevention guidelines are your best hope for reducing your risk and the risk of our community:  

  • Avoid vaginal, oral or anal sex (best way to prevent STDs).
  • Limit your number of sex partners.
  • Use latex condoms consistently and correctly.
  • Always use a latex condom during vaginal and anal sex.
  • Use a latex condom for oral sex on a penis.
  • Use a latex barrier (dental dam or condom cut in half) for oral sex on a vagina or anus.
  • Consider using Pre Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
  • In the event of an possible exposure, consider using Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) during the first 72 hrs after exposure.
  • Limit or avoid use of drugs and alcohol.
  • Don’t share drug needles, cotton or cookers.
  • Don’t share needles for tattooing or piercing.
  • Notify sex and needle-sharing partners immediately if HIV-infected.  ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Clinical evaluation and treatment for STDs, including PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) (Adults - $40, youth under 18 - $5)

Wednesday: 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM 
Thursday (effective 8/17/17): 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

STD Screening (Adults - $40, youth under 18 - $5)
Suite 1800; for people with no symptoms, by appointment only
Tuesday: 9 AM - 4:30 PM

*Clinic will open for registration 30 minutes prior to posted times and will close to walk-in patients once maximum clinic volume has been reached each day. Therefore, we may close before posted times. To increase the likelihood that you will be seen, please arrive early. Please be aware that wait times may vary.

Closed: Saturday, Sunday, Holidays, and the following Mondays in 2017: January 2, October 9​
