Internship Program

Provide a means to integrate academic theories and principles with practical job experience for students interested in pursuing a career in the criminal justice field through evidence-based practices including an introduction to the pretrial release programs, county corrections facility, the criminal court process, and in the criminal justice field.  

 
Internship hours will be based on departmental needs. Interns can be placed either in the office or in the jail. The office hours are 10am-2pm Monday-Friday. The jail hours vary based on departmental needs and operates 24/7 365 days a year.

 
Interns with a college class requirement will work 120 hours with 40 hours in each of the following Office of Pretrial Services units: Jail Unit, Court Unit and Supervision Unit. Once the 120 hours have been completed, possible hours and assignments will be based on departmental needs
