How to Mark Your Ballot
- To vote, completely fill in the oval to the right of your choice
- Please use only BLUE or BLACK color ink to mark your ballot.
- Do not use red, green or purple ink.
- "Vote for..."How Many? DO NOT vote for more candidates than the number indicated for each contest. If you make a mistake on one contest, it does not invalidate the entire ballot.
- Write-In Voting: To vote for a qualified write-in candidate, write the person's name in the wite-in space and fill in the oval. Do not write in a name that’s already printed on the ballot.
- Need a New Ballot? If you make a mistake and need a new ballot, call (408) 299-VOTE [8683] or toll free (866) 430-VOTE [8683].
After Completing your Ballot:
- Detach the top numbered stub
- Place your voted ballot in the secrecy sleeve. (Do Not Fold) and return to the Election Officer for deposit into the ballot box.
Voting Provisionally (Pink Envelope):
- Detach the top numbered stub
- Place your voted ballot in the PINK Provisional Envelope (Fold on pre-scored folds ONLY) and return to the Election Officer for deposit into the ballot box.
