Chastain Leads Flu Vaccination Awareness and Soccer Clinic

Soccer Legend Brandi Chastain Gives Local Students Once-in-a-Lifetime Soccer Clinic at San Antonio Elementary and L.U.C.H.A. School: Chastain Part of a National Effort to Help Increase Flu Vaccination Awareness
(San Jose, CA) --- In an effort to raise awareness about staying healthy this flu season, Brandi Chastain has joined MedImmune to launch a national health awareness campaign: “Don’t Wait to Vaccinate!”
On Thursday, December 6th, 2012, Chastain spoke with local students from San Antonio Elementary School and L.U.C.H.A. School, about the importance of staying healthy and “in the game” this flu season.  She was joined by local and school officials, to underscore the important role annual flu vaccination plays in helping to protect the health and wellness of local communities.  
Attendees included: 
·         Brandi Chastain, Olympian, World Cup Soccer Champion, sports commentator and mom
·         Senator Jim Beall, (District 15), California State Senate
·         Dr. Marty Fenstersheib, Health Officer, Santa Clara County Public Health Department
·         Javier Esquivel, Clinic Supervisor, Foothill Community Health Center
·         Jason Sorich, Principal, San Antonio Elementary School
·         Kristin Burt, Principal, L.U.C.H.A. School
