Teen DUI Prevention Poster Contest Winner Announced
Jacqueline Lin, 11th grade student from Lynbrook High School was the 1st place winner in Traffic Safe Communities Network (TSCN) countywide teen DUI prevention poster contest.
The contest was open to all high school youth in Santa Clara County, and sought student artwork that encouraged teens to not drink and drive or get into a car with someone who had been drinking. Members from the Traffic Safe Communities Network judged all submissions on theme, originality, and creativity. Extra consideration was given to artwork that conveyed the theme but did not show pictures of alcohol.
Jacqueline received a certificate, an iTunes gift card valued at $100, and her poster was made into a 6’ banner that will be displayed during TSCN teen DUI prevention events.
Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. See photos of winning poster.
