Santa Clara County Ranks No.2 in Overall Health

Santa Clara County, CA -- On April 3, 2012, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute released the third annual County Health Rankings report, in observance of National Public Health Week.  According to the Institute, “the County Health Rankings illustrate what we know when it comes to what’s making people sick or healthy.”

For 2011 - 2012, out of 56 ranked counties in the state of California, Santa Clara County placed:

  • #2 in Overall Rank for health outcomes

  • #5 in Health Behaviors

  • #8 in Clinical Care

  • #5 in Social and Economic Factors

  • #22 in Physical Environment
