California Breastfeeding Policies

Numerous laws and policies exist to help remove barriers to breastfeeding. These regulations cover a variety of areas, including breastfeeding in public, at worksites, and in healthcare settings.

The County of Santa Clara Lactation Accommodation Policy supports employees who want to breastfeed and provide the best first food option for their children to ensure they will be healthier and less likely to become overweight or obese.
