The Santa Clara County Social Services Agency’s Department of Aging and Adult Services in partnership with San Jose State University’s CHAMP (Center for Healthy Aging in Multicultural Populations), the City of San Jose Parks and Recreation Services, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center: Hospital and Clinics and Friends of Human Relations are proud to present the 25th Annual Senior Wellness Fair:

for 4th Street and 6th Street garages

The Senior Wellness Fair is a FREE event and is open to the aging community, their caretakers, adult service professionals, and the general public. We welcome caregivers or people who are looking for resources for their aging parents or relatives to learn about potential support and resources available in the community.

Over 50 community resources and various health screenings, such as blood pressure, lung capacity, mood assessment, cognition, hearing, and risk for falls will be available in the Rotunda and outdoor plaza. There will be free flu shots for the first 300 attendees, and all participants are eligible for free giveaway’s and prizes.

The vendors at the Fair include home health care agencies, city/county/federal agencies, community based organizations and private exhibitors. The Fair provides an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn about services and products ranging from:

  • Health insurance options, including Medi-Care
  • Elder abuse
  • Social Services
  • Clinical trials (cancer)
  • Assisted living options
  • Estate planning
  • In-home care
  • Mental health agencies
  • Alzheimer’s information and support
  • free home repair programs
  • Volunteer opportunities, including Registrar of Voters
  • Assistive devices

This annual event will be a day of celebration for one of Santa Clara County’s fastest growing populations and the professionals providing service to them. We invite you to come join us at a place where older adults can learn more about their community, mingle with their peers, and walk away with advice and knowledge for their everyday life.
