About Us

Due to COVID-19 and the Shelter in Place guidelines, the Santa Clara County Office of Veterans Services is currently closed to the public.

The Veterans Service Representatives are still assisting Santa Clara County Veterans and dependents with processing applications to the State and Federal VA for benefits, but we are conducting these meetings without direct in-person contact using alternative methods via phone, mail, and email options.

If you need assistance or have any questions, please call 408-918-4980 and leave a message. The Veterans Service Representatives are working remotely and will respond accordingly to assist with these processes. We are working on establishing technologies in order to better assist during this situation. Please be patient with us.

Please remember that the Santa Clara County Office of Veterans Service is not the Federal or State VA. The Federal and State VA is still open and operating, although following COVID-19 guidelines for safety.

For questions regarding VA Healthcare, please contact the Veterans Health Administration by contacting your primary care provider through one of the VA Medical Centers or Community Based Outpatient Clinics.

For questions regarding VA Benefits through the Veterans Benefits Administration, such as Service Connected Disability claims and VA Pension questions or VA Education questions, please go to www.va.gov or call 1-800-827-1000.

Thank you for your service!

About Us

The Veterans Services Office is a County and State funded agency established in 1944 to assist Veterans, Military Personnel, and their Families in obtaining federal, state, and local benefits earned through active duty military service. Our primary mission is to assist our Veteran community in applying for and obtaining compensation benefits through the US Department of Veterans Affairs (USDVA). The claims and application process is complex and often confusing. Our state and nationally accredited Veteran Services Representatives are experienced and highly trained to provide assistance through all steps and phases of this process. We look forward to meeting you at our office, or at one of the many Veteran focused outreach events we support.
